The Damned and Fucked Up are wrapping up their short Halloween Tour in NYC and played their first of two shows here at Brooklyn’s Warsaw on Monday. For a three-band bill, The Damned still packed 20 songs into their headlining set, including a few of their gothy, Devil’s Night-appropriate numbers like “Wait for the Blackout,” along with punk classics “Smash it Up,” “New Rose,” “Neat Neat Neat,” and more. Dave Vanian‘s melodramatic baritone still sounds great, and Captain Sensible remains a wildman.
Speaking of wildmen, Fucked Up’s Damian Abraham is still a force, bouncing all over the stage, rolling around on it, and at one point smashing a water bottle onto his skull and getting it to stick. Locals Baby Shakes opened the night and photos of the whole show by P Squared, plus the Damned’s setlist, are in this post, below.
The Damned, Fucked Up and Baby Shakes play Irving Plaza tonight, which is the last date of the tour.
