Baton Rouge Rapper Young Ready Fatally Shot


Baton Rouge rapper Young Ready was killed in a shooting Tuesday (June 23) in Bogalusa. Ready—real name is Shannen Hudson—was one of two victims fatally shot in Louisiana. He would have turned 32-years-old on July 8. The second victim is 28-year-old Jare Stevenson of Baton Rouge, according to local NBC affiliate KPLC.

Reports say that the shooting took place right before 3:30 p.m. on the north side of Bogalusa. The shooting is currently still under investigation by Bogalusa Police Department. No suspects have been identified.

KPLC reports that the Washington Parish Coroner’s Office said one victim died from a single gunshot wound and the second died of multiple gunshot wounds.

Young Ready owned and operated his own record label, Bow Entertainment.
