Casey Veggies’ studio debut, Live and Grow, hits shelves Aug 7. The Inglewood native hopped on social media to share the news, posting the date to his Twitter and Instagram accounts.

Last week, Veggies dropped the video to his track with Dej Loaf, “Tied Up,” where he shows off his soft side while flexing Cali swag. The song will likely be on his forthcoming LP. Prior to that release, he was featured on King Marie’s track, “405,” and called on with Iamsu!, Wiz Khalifa and A$AP Ferg for the remix to “Backflip.” We have something more to look forward to now that his debut LP has a release date. The 21-year old MC is also featured in the upcoming movie Dope that hits theaters tomorrow (June 19).

Last year Young Veggies spoke to us about if he feels he’s still underrated.

“I’ve been going in and going hard into the music for the last five years,” he said. “It’s one thing to say you’re underrated but I try not to pay attention to that because it is what it is. The game overlooks some of the great sometimes so sometimes its what the game is going forward. You have to let the game do what it does. The thing for me, when it comes to my city and my coast, I think I get a lot of respect. Underrated is definitely a true thing. I feel like that’s definitely evident and a lot of people feel that way. But at the same time I’m happy with all the respect I’ve gotten.”
