Well this is awkward. The majority of Kanye West’s performance at the 2015 Billboard Music Awards was censored and fans are not happy.

When Kanye finally got on stage to close out the show, viewers couldn’t hear chunks of his performance of his new single “All Day” and “Black Skinhead (Blkkk SkkkN Head)” off of his last album Yeezus. Surrounded by flames—sort of like his performance at The BRITs this year but with way less people—along with Allan Kingdom and Theophilus London, Yeezy started with “All Day.” He then transitioned to “Black Skinhead.”

However, it was increasing annoying to watch because most of it was seemingly censored by ABC. The strange thing about the whole thing was that there were lyrics that are not even offensive in both songs that were censored. Twitter reacted to the performance:

The answer to the bizarre Kanye West performace may have just been found. There was reportedly microphone issues during ‘Ye’s performance.

XXL will update with more details when they become available. Watch the performance below.
