One way or another, Curren$y is going to get some of his paper back from all those fire mixtapes he’s been letting go for the free free. Spitta recently announced fans will have to come up off $100 for his highly anticipated (pun intended) upcoming LP Pilot Talk 3. There’s another aspect to Spitta’s marketing scheme. According to him, the project will not be available on hard copy or on iTunes. The only way fans will be able to wake and bake to PT3 is by purchasing the $100 package, which includes a jet-shaped USB Flash Drive, a PT3 long-sleeve shirt and a look book. The album will come pre-loaded on the flash drive along with videos and photos.
As Twitter user @dopeboyshake put it, the price might be steep, but overall it’s feasible for those who have been consuming the rapper’s seemingly endless amount of quality mixtape material. “Man, @CurrenSy_Spitta’s released more FREE music than anyone I can think of. #PilotTalk3 for $100 might be a lil crazy, but it makes sense,” he posted, which was later retweeted by Spitta.

The Jet Life head honcho has built anticipation for the album with a trio of singles, recently dropping the video for “Audio Dope V” and “Briefcase.” He also leaked the Styles P collab “Alert” earlier this month.
Pilot Talk 3 leaves the air strip, Apr. 4. The project features contributions from Ab-Soul, RiFF RaFF, Action Bronson and French Montana. What do you think? Is a Curren$y LP worth a cool hunnid? If so, pre-order, here.
