Dame Dash says he refuses to talk about other men, but talks about other men anyway
Yesterday morning, the always entertaining entertainment mogul and business man Damon Dash chatted with Sway on Sway In The Morning for just over an hour about “whatever Sway was curious about.” That, of course, turned out the current standing of several of Dash’s turbulent relationships, including his status with Jay Z, Jim Jones, Curren$y, Smoke DZA and several others. When the topic of Jay Z came up, Dash made it clear that he didn’t have any issues with Jay–”I love Jay”–but also made sure to mention that he read something in the paper recently that scared him out of making contact with his former business partner.
This is the one time that the paper did scare me, and I was like ‘well there has to be some truth to it,’ which is when I read about his affiliation with informants. You know, that he was in business with certain people. And, it’s tricky for me to say but based on where I’m from, I can’t have nothing to do with that.
Sway, rightfully so, asked Dame, who just 20 minutes earlier condemned popular media channels–newspapers, radio, TV–for never having all the information, or having all the information and conveying it in a confusing manner, a very simple question: “Do you believe that though?” Dame’s reply:
There’s paperwork. So, it’s not to believe, there’s paperwork so, that part of it scares me. I know Biggs is in jail, I know Irv Gotti’s been harassed for years over sh*t he didn’t do. I know they’ve been f*cking with me for years. So, it just means I need to stay over here.
Wow. Dame didn’t come right out and call Hov a snitch, but those are definitely a bold set of comments to make. Is this just Dame talking and justifying his paranoia or could there actually be truth to this statement? You can watch the Jay Z segment of the interview beginning at the 55:30 mark.
